Planted the first early and second early potatoes, stripped turf off new plot and dug it over.

The potato varieties are Maris Bard (extra early), Premiere (first early) and Charlotte (second early). Maris Bard (First Early) Year 1972. High Yield. Susceptible to potato cyst nematode and spaing virus. Premiere (First Early) Year: 1979. Resistance to blight, potato cyst nematode, good resistance to spraing virus (tobacco rattle virus). High yield. Charlotte (Second Early) Year: 1981. Susceptible to potato cyst nematode.

I have already planted onion sets (Setton), and the rest of the vegetables have over-wintered: turnip (Atlantic), purple sprouting broccoli, Swiss Chard, Leeks (Autumn Mammoth) and broad beans (Aquadulce).
